Keepin' It Classy

Have you ever had one of those days where you go through numerous outfits when trying to decide on the perfect one, maybe snap some selfies when you think you've found "THE ONE", only to go with another outfit in the end? Let's be real, I'm sure at one point or another we've all been there. Today's outfit was one of those. I originally had tried on this outfit to pick up my fiance from the airport over a month ago, snapped a selfie, and only recently saw it while scrolling through my camera roll. Ever since I've been dying to put it together again and wear it as my outfit for the day, but for real this time. So today was that day, and I'd like to think the second time did it a lot more justice ;)

The outfit overall is classy and fun while still being casual, and makes me feel like a total girl. The roses on my leggings are super feminine, and with all the pink how could I not feel like a lady? Too much pink is sometimes just what an outfit needs. Add in this amazing, classic white vest and my outfit is made. (The one that I linked is another great quality alternative, and will come in grey!)

Side Note: Look back to my previous post to hear me rave about my Matt & Nat bag!

Dressing Up, on a Tuesday

Even though I hate to admit it, sometimes my moods just match my outfits too perfectly. Yesterday was dreary and overcast, and overall really cold, so I gave in, bundled up, and dug up another winter outfit. I don't have a job that requires me to dress up on a daily basis (YET), so my opportunities to wear heels are minimized to date nights, girls nights, or special occasions. I am all about the pointy toe heels I see in everything from nude, to black, to neon pink and yellow, and I couldn't resist when I scored my own pair from Ross for under $20! DSW has a similar spotted print heel by the same brand, for under $40. Not only are they super comfortable, but they can easily be dressed up OR down.

My Matt & Nat bag is in their champagne hue, and was another find that had to be found in person before a decision could be made. I could never decipher by the website pictures alone on the color; the texture, or the overall shape of the bag, but on another lucky boutique day I found this gem in person. I love that the line is vegan leather, and you can not only see, but feel the quality that is in this brand of bags. If you're in the market (as blush is a must), this bag will be the perfect addition to your collection!

My last feature from yesterday's outfit is another staple piece, and comes in at under $40. The "wrap coat" as it as affectionately been named, was seen just about everywhere this winter. But my struggle was finding one for the right price. When I stumbled upon this gem, I just couldn't get over the price! On top of the fact that it actually wears like a winter coat, so you're not freezing and it's not as if it's just for decoration ;) That being said, it was perfect even still for the forty degree temps we had yesterday, and can serve as a functional transition piece as I move into spring too!

Side Note: This fab white cowl neck sweater (is short sleeve) BUT, is another great transition piece, AND at a great price.

Kimono Queen

Whether its wintertime or summertime, hot, warm, cold, or chilly out, there is a kimono that is perfect to fit your every need. They also come in about any pattern, design, fabric, color, or texture you can imagine too. So, for this post I wanted to feature some of my past post's where I highlighted some kimono's from my own closet that are my favorite. Not all of them are still available/searchable, as they are from year(s) prior, but I found some fabulous, similar alternatives for those that are not.

Starting from the top left, this aztecian poncho kimono is a Nordstrom find; perfect for winter, and made for layering. Moving down one, this fierce purple number is from Urban Outfitters, and while it's only available in white now, it's super comfortable and soft. Plus, who doesn't love white for the summer? In the bottom left corner is an aqua floral number, technically a swim cover up, and is the best steal you could luck out with at $12! Moving to the kimonos featured in the middle row; the top paisley kimono was a Marshall's find, so here I have two options to replace the one I am pictured wearing. They aren't they exact same, but they are super cute, and definitely worth featuring. Directly below is one of my favorites to date, my blue watercolor kimono. I can't find the exact one on Forever 21, but they have a similar one; still with vibrant colors, and even more beautiful shades of blue.

My last two are both go-to's for the wintertime. Luckily, the top plaid kimono is still available from Forever 21, and is under $30! I've gotten so many compliments on it, and who doesn't love one more plaid number to add to their wardrobe? #amiright. The bottom right kimono was a clearance steal a couple winters ago, and it's a classic black and white kimono. Thankfully, there is no shortage of similar ones for you to choose from; and I have them all here for you, no searching necessary! There are a a variety of cold weather options, as well as some for the warmer months :)

Now's the time to get shopping though (as if you didn't know that!) because the options are endless, whether for warm or cold weather!

Thanks for stopping by,

All About This Bag & Summertime...

I've been busy stocking up on all of my summer necessities, and yet I have no plans to go anywhere extensively for almost five months, and the weather seems to be VERY confused. So either I need to get scheming for a vacation in the near future, or Old Man Weather needs to come to his senses! Or, how about both?! I don't like having to choose anyways :) Either way, in today's post I've featured some of my haul so far; all of which will be in constant rotation this summer.

My tote from GiGi New York is honestly beyond gorgeous. I'll admit that I was a bit skeptical at first before I invested in one of these beauties; I love taking a chance on a brand I'm not very familiar with, but without a store close by, or a retailer that carries the brand...what's a girl to do to help with her decision? Well, as fate would have it, while visiting a friend down in North Carolina, I stumbled upon these totes at a boutique. Immediately upon seeing them I said, "Is that GiGi New York?" and as luck would have it, it was! Let me tell you; they are better then you could imagine from the online site alone. The quality is amazing, the python detail is on point, and the navy is just perfect for the summer. Anyone who knows me, knows I love anything nautical, and this tote will be a perfect staple for summer based on JUST that.

When it comes to sandals, I want them all, but I can be so picky with how my feet look. Heels, boots, booties, sneakers? No problem! But when it comes to baring my soles (hehe) it becomes a full-out mission to find the perfect pair(s). As far as flip flops go, Old Navy used to be my go to, and at 2 for $5, how could you beat that? But when they discontinued their rubber flops, I relied on random finds for my flip flop needs. But fate made an appearance again while on my North Carolina trip, and with hurting feet I came upon these beaded beauties  (pictured above) from Charlotte Russe. Not only are they comfortable, they are also SUPER cute, perfect for summer and constantly on sale for the mere bargain of FIVE DOLLARS! My bow beauties are scarce, but Macy's, where I also purchased the pair pictured, have another similar option that are also PERFECT for my bow lovers out there!

When it comes to your feet, and hands for that matter, only the best polish will do. So what if I told you that I've found that for you, for under THREE DOLLARS?! Yep, you read that correctly, THREE DOLLARS. I've found over time that even the most expensive bottles of polish have a self life, and aren't perfect, so when I tried Nail Color  from Forever 21, I knew I had had hit the jackpot. No more guilt from spending a ridiculous amount of money for a certain polish brand, or color, because there are endless options from Nail Color.

Since it seems like were just moving from body parts, let's not forget about those pretty eyes that require only the best when it comes to the sunny rays of summertime. My favorite pair to date (and I've had a LOT of sunnies in my day) would have to be from Free People. The best part? They're only $20! They're over-sized, polarized, and completely black out your eyes so you can people watch the day away. Admit it, you know that comes in handy ;)

Side Note: My last two items, my palm tree cosmetic case and Hipanema bracelet, have either already been featured, or soon will be. So look back, or check back soon!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Summertime and the Livin' is Easy...

That's what they say, and after all the snow this winter I believe it wholeheartedly! I also am refusing to buy anymore sweaters or winter clothes as I am boycotting winter in the hopes that Spring will arrive sooner than 15 days :) I mean a girl can hope and dream, right? But if that can't come true, then at least I can start shopping for the weather since the stores are starting to fill up with all the MUST haves for the summertime. Which means I get to share all the deets with you guys!

So sadly, the gorgeous Original skirt I snagged from Nordstrom Rack for under $15, is sold out. But I linked it for you to keep an eye on, in the event that it comes back; I also had no help from the world wide web in hunting it down elsewhere for you :( BUT, I did find this other choice, Palm skirt, that is now on my own list, AND a steal for under $20! Amazing what you can find sometimes without even meaning to!

So in the summertime, rompers are my best friend. They are the best things (Ok, one of them) to ever come back into style, and I won't ever complain about it. I love how effortless they are, and this one from The Coveted Closet does NOT disappoint! It's floral details make it cute, but chic, and I just love how you can add some minimal details and you have a full outfit.

Last, but certainly not least is my fab find, ombre sundress. I scooped this pretty little number up from Marshall's for a mere $17, and am dying to wear it throughout the summer. So first, RUN ,to your local, or nearest Marshall's, and look in the swimwear for this gorgeous number for yourself. If that fails, don't worry, I'm providing you with a couple of options to choose from: BuckleYoung, Fabulous and BrokeSHOPBOP, & MILLY. None of which you can go wrong with :)

It has been almost a month since my last post...

Talk about unacceptable! I know I've made numerous comments about preparing a post, and trust me, I put a lot of thought into all of the could've, would've, should've posts that never made it. But alas, here is my latest post! I decided to do a round up of my posts from last months (February) posts on my Instagram. I focused on a good handful of items that are staples in MY closet, and ones that I believe you would be silly not to add to your own :) Lucky for you, a number of the items I will be including are seriously marked down on sale, or I have found great alternatives if the exact item I have is no where to be found in the world wide web. So for the moment that has been waited for...here are the details on that awesome fringe bag, that brilliantly bright hipanema bracelet, and much, much more!

1. Starting from Top Right: Urban Outfitters Plaid Lounge Button Down: Plaid Button Down Currently on SALE for under $40!

2. Nordstrom Rack Faux Fur Vest
The exact vest is no longer available but I found one similar, under $50, that is just as perfect!

A summery, perfect nude color has since been added too!

SO comfy, so cute, and perfect addition to any spring wardrobe!

5. Hipanema Bracelet: This piece of jewelry honestly makes me happy just looking at it. Great prices at both Bluefly & Gilt; you just can't beat it!

6. Striped Hooded Cardigan: Perfect for spring, lightweight, and nautical...need I say more?!

 7. This button down is turning into an instant favorite in my closest, and from Nordstrom you can get a classic button down or you can go with this V-neck version that also comes in a number of color options!

8. This awesome little tote can be found at the ever favorite, Target
store, or a similar version, for around the same cost, is available from Zara .

9. Last but not least, is the scarce "Shopping is my Cadio" sweatshirt. I'm so glad I scooped this up when I did because not only is it sold out from most online retailers, but it is SO comfy, and super soft! Here is one last chance for you to get one similar, only XS left!

So I think this {somewhat} makes up for my slacking right ;) Happy shopping/Deal hunting!
