Another day, Another Pop of Pineapple

Remember when I gushed about all of the fun that I have exploring the world of Instagram and finding new boutiques and retail stores that I probably wouldn't have ever found otherwise? Well, I'm here to gush a little more in this post, and on a specific Etsy shop that makes the most phenomenal headbands. While she offers so many pretty prints, the pineapple print she had (that sold out super fast the first time I saw her post in), was an easy pick for me.

When my sweet little package arrived, it came in a sweetest little box, wrapped up, and with a personalized note thanking me and highlighting the awesome fact that we also share the same name ;)

This pineapple print is no longer available on Ashley's Etsy shop, The Gypsy Cricket, but she has a number of other fabulous prints, and the pineapple print could come back before you know it!

The good, the bad & the ugly of Hunter boots

These boots are made for....rain. Surprised? You shouldn't be. But what I did get a rude awakening about was snow. I kept on seeing so many adorable pictures of other girls in their hunter boots out in the snow, and maybe I made the mistake of assuming they were wearing them outdoors for long periods of time; but I found out the hard way. On one of the last big snowfalls in Maryland, my fiance and I went out to take pictures, and I decided it was the perfect photo-op for my new fire-engine red Hunter boots my fiance had gotten me for Christmas. While we only stayed for about forty-five minutes, we mostly ended up leaving because my feet were literally frozen. Not just cold; frozen. As in, couldn't move, couldn't feel them; even with regular socks AND the "sock" inserts, made especially for Hunter boots.

But that's the bad, and ugly, of these boots. So save yourself the misery and skip the snow whether its for five minutes, or forty-five minutes.

But the good about these boots is that they are the perfect rain boots. The perfect shade of red is definitely a plus too. So far, since December, these boots have kept up really well through snow and endless rain puddles. They're warm enough while I carry on throughout the day, and comfortable too!

Lesson: Invest if you're looking for the perfect rain boot, but stick to another option if you're looking for a cute snow boot/alternative.

Hope this helps!

Easy like Sunday Morning

There's nothing I like better than a quick outfit to throw on, and a quick outfit to change into when I'm in a bind, or in a rush. That bind last Sunday was homework for graduate school, and catch up episodes of Pretty Little Liars (I'm finally up to Season 5 in case you're wondering?!) but after getting down to the wire on time, I had to pick something out to get to a family get together; and do it fast!

So honestly, what is better, OR easier, than a little black sundress and some cute sneakers? Go back a few posts to pineapples and palms, and you'll also find these beyond adorable pineapple sneakers too. They are lightweight, easy clean, and perfect to go with one of the biggest themes this season. Also pictured is my sequined MZ Wallace handbag, that was featured originally a couple posts' back too. The brand has a different style and color currently out, but still gets you your fix of sparkle!

Little Long Black Dress

If you haven't picked up on it already, I heart myself some maxi dresses. Love, love, them. I've gone into detail all about my love for them in past posts, so I'll keep it minimal in this one ;) This black beauty I wore for wedding planning this past weekend was a Marshall's find last season, and I finally took the tags off and wore it for the first time. For under $20 this was a super steal, and is a dress that can be dressed up, or down; and I dressed it down with a turquoise tassel necklace and my classic jean jacket. The options I listed in replacement of my little long black maxi are all under $60 dollars and are as similar in style that I could find a whole year later. Happy Shopping!

So where to find one of each of your own?

#OoTd, #Tassels, #BouTiqueShopping

Boutique shopping is now some of my favorite shopping, especially when I can do it from the comfort of my Instagram/phone/couch/bed. One of this Spring's biggest trends are tassel necklaces, and the one featured in this #ootd comes from a Texas retail store I stumbled upon called Ford & Crew. This tassel necklace comes in the perfect shade of peachy spring/summer goodness, so be sure to check out one for yourself, in many colors, as well as their other awesome items available from their retail locale.

MAXI-mize Your Closet

While I love a good sundress like any other girl, I love maxi dresses because they're great transition pieces from spring to summer; keeping you semi-warm on cooler days, and then again on cool summer nights. Not only that, but they are also easier to wear to work than the more date night appropriate sundress. So the options are a little more endless when it comes to maxi dresses in my fashion opinion.

Below are a few of the dresses that I have featured on Instagram in the last few weeks; from a casual cotton dress from Nordstrom, to my Easter Maxi from Forever 21 (Similar style since EXACT one is only available in plus sizes), and last but not least my gorgeous blue southwesten number also from Forever 21. All staple pieces in their own right, and ALL three are under $40. Better yet? The Forever 21 Maxi's pictured below are under $20! How could you possibly resist at those prices ;)

**Nordstrom Knit Maxi

**Easter Floral Forever 21 Maxi

**Southwestern Forever 21 Maxi

If you're a fan of the simpler things in life, like a good Maxi to make you feel Chic & effortless for the coming months, do yourself a favor and MAXI-mize your maxi options....NOW! :)

Thanks for Jonesing with me!

Spring Themes

Remember that post on palms and pineapples a couple posts back? Well if not, you should definitely go and check it out, but if you already have I have another spring theme to also add to the list; butterflies. Now while butterflies can easily always be assumed to go hand-in-hand with springtime; it is trending across the board currently. One of my first butterfly purchases came in the form of a simple maxi dress that is vibrant and perfect in every way. I grabbed this beauty up from target for $25, and it is the perfect piece to add to my spring/summer wardrobe. Maxi dresses are my go to through both seasons so I know I will get plenty of wear out of this beauty!

** Disclosures: I am 5'7 and while I normally like my maxi dresses to be extra long, almost to the point of covering my feet, this one comes up a little short. And I'm actually OK with that. It's a heavier material so the couple inches difference to what I normally like actually makes it easier to walk in. ALSO, the fact that this maxi has an overlay on the top part means you can go bra free..and there isn't much better than that ;)

Other Butterfly Themed Items: RobeHandbag

**Disclaimer: I also own the robe and wear it daily. It's the perfect material, super soft, and lightweight!

Thanks for stopping by! Keep on Jonesing ;)

This is HOT, HOT, HOT!

Who doesn't love a simple blazer, am I right?! Find it in the perfect neon shade of pink and what more could you want; literally?! I had been on the hunt for the perfect pink blazer for MONTHS, and once I finally stopped looking, I stumbled upon perfection at Nordstrom Rack. While this isn't the standard run-of-the-mill, thick, shoulder padded blazer, it is perfect for spring in that it is lightweight and styled like a blazer; without actually being one. This is a staple piece that you can't go wrong with, I promise.

P.S. Don't mind my silly selfie. I'm just a girl who loves being fashionable AND healthy ;)

Unfortunately, while this beauty from Nordstrom Rack is no longer available, I was able to find three other options $75 or less, and still in this gorgeous, summery shade of pink!

N'amaste in Bed & Instagram Shop

Ever since I started my "all for fun", but hoping for more Instagram chronicles of my fashion escapades, I have been opened to an expanse of other shopping outlets predominantly in the boutique realm. While there are endless boutiques locally, and throughout Maryland where I live; the truth is, social media expands my options immensely. Not only towards options to add to my overflowing closet, but also to allow me to shop from the comforts of my bed. Which is always a win in my book :)

Below is a feature of a maxi dress from Red Dress Boutique that is even more perfect in person; more than I ever could have hoped! It's the perfect length, light weight, and fits like a dream. One downside to boutique shopping online is the inability to know how items will fit; unlike shopping at your favorite store where you learn to know your typical size choices, this isn't as simple. BUT, choosing from Red Dress Boutique's sizing chart helped me pick the best size for my measurements, and I couldn't be happier. Also, shipping was super quick, and they even included a free gift. Talk about a serious win; I will definitely be shopping with this shop again, and suggest them for your next online shopping choice.

Palms & Pineapples

Everywhere you look right now you have bright colors & prints that typically mark the beginning of summer; but something else has begun to catch my eye..and it's a huge hit in my book. Right now, everywhere I'm shopping or browsing has an overlapping theme; palms and pineapples. It seems as though everyone has gotten the hint, taken notice, and have added stock of this beach-y print, and tasty symbol. My thing has always been anchors, and has been for years. But over the years pineapples have also become a favorite of min; so this popular symbol popping up everywhere makes me one happy girl! With descriptive names such as "Hawaiian Floral", "Bahama Case" or "Season in the Sun", how could it NOT be the perfect addition to your must have summer items? Scope out some of my finds below:

Want to know where to get your own? Look no farther than this list, below:

Tropicalia Phone Case (Fun alternative to top right IPhone Case)
Palms with a Tucan (Another Favorite Alternative to bottom right romper)

While there are PLENTY of other options out there, my collage can only fit so many to highlight, and this is a good initial haul if your obsession runs as deep for palms & pineapples :)
